Our bar, the Happy Days Café, is situated in the vibrant market place of Acqui Terme, a 'garden city' known for its colourful flower beds, tree-lined avenues, statues in Carrara marble, majestic fountains and a long cascade in the gracious Piazza Italia which announces the town's importance as a centre for healthy waters. All around the town are magical hills alive with the colours and perfumes of prestigious wines made there: Brachetto, Moscato, Barbera, Dolcetto.

At our premises you can savour the very best wine products, accompanied by typical appetisers based on goat's, sheep's and cow's cheeses and prime meats. Most famous are the Roccaverano cheese, and the filetto baciato di Ponzone, a delicatessen made from loin of pork, wrapped in pasta and left to mature for several months to provide the perfect accompaniment to dry Brachetto wine a pairing truly special to Acqui Terme.

Experience of the countryside and love of its food products has become a vital element in the eno-gastronomic culture and popular success of our Café among local inhabitants.

Elisabetta, an expert coffee taster, has taken a certificated course in genuine Italian espresso. She commends to her customers a dish called Mangia e Bevi (Eat and Drink) Acqui which represents the culinary history of the Alto Monferrato since ancient times, consisting of 8 tastings in a triumph of colours and aromas accompanied by a goblet of wine from the prestigious Cantina Castellucci. For those who instead would prefer to lunch on an excellent salad, Happy Days Bar offers a choice of 8 different vegetarian dishes.

Raffaella, and expert cook, will whet you appetite with a variety of small dishes in the Romagna tradition, most particularly stuffed focaccia bread and appetising panini rolls, all put together with the utmost professionalism and enthusiasm.

Breakfast at our premises is a 'must', consisting of a choice of cappuccino or certificated Italian espresso served with oven-hot croissants filled with jam, lemon crème, honey, chocolate or Nutella.

.and for the health-conscious, please ask for a glass of Acqua Donat, a water rich in magnesium (1,000 milligrams per litre) guaranteed to help reduce stress, constipation, stomach acid, high blood-pressure, hardened arteries, and problems to do with pregnancy and breathing.

French wooden barrels with glass tops covering an array of coffee beans are the tables on which you will take lunch, surrounded by original posters of the mythical Cunningham Family and Fonzie Fonzarelli (of US TV fame). Ask for the key to the bathroom and you'll find yourself in the Fonze's Office where there are perfumed toilet soaps, shaving requisites, a sewing kit, shoe polishes...now look at yourself in the mirror and what do you see? ehiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!
